Our Business

Allen Edwards has been in the car business since he was 18 years old.   He started out as a lot attendant and with hard work, he moved his way up the ladder.  Starting in Kansas City he was with corporate Ford and Chevy stores selling and then moved up to management.  Several years later, he married and had the desire to move back to the area where he grew up.  In 1990 Allen , his wife Christy, and son Brandon moved back to Wilmington NC.   He was with Bob King for one year selling for their franchise.  With the love of BMW's he moved to Schaeffer BMW for the next 17 years.  In the time that he was with Schaeffer BMW, he was salesman of the year for many years, and then moved into the Sales Manager position and then the General Sales Manager for Schaeffer BMW.

With the disire to offer his clients a more personalized service, he retired from Schaeffer BMW and opened his own small retail car sales center.   Sports and Imports Automotive has always been a dream, and the time came that he could fulfill that dream.

The vehicles offered on Sports and Imports Automotive sales center,  are all offered at a very low margin of profit to help those customers that are needing a new vehicle.  We offer quality used cars under $10,000, with on lot and bank financing. 

For those that would like a different vehicle than what we have to offer, we offer Allen Edwards 30 plus years  of experience in the car business, to that customer in the BROKERING SERVICE.  All you need to do is set up an appointment with Allen Edwards, and he will sit down with you to find out the specifics on your next vehicle purchase.  You will have the opportunity to buy like the dealers do, straight off of DEALER ONLY ACCESS WEBSITES, to pick your next vehicle. You will be able to choose from cars that are in every state of our union
